Our goal at Green Harmony Now is to transform your conventional garden into an organic and sustainable garden in balance with the environment, more healthy and productive, and ultimately more fun for you and your family.

We do this by providing education about:

• Sustainability in the garden and home.
  

• Organic gardening techniques, organic gardening tips, and an all around sustainable lifestyle.
  

• Home composting to improve the soil.
  

• Providing helpful organic pest control (Integrated Pest Management or IPM).

What We Offer:

The development of a customized package of services that meets your needs, so you only pay for the service that you really need.

Definition of Services:

1.   On-site evaluation of your garden and personal work plan discussion

2.   On-site composting that includes installation of composting bins and periodic monitoring of the composting process

3.   Spring clean-up, raking of leaves by hand and pruning of bushes and small trees as well as weed control and application of organic mulch to garden beds as well as organic lawn treatments.

4.   Soil enhancement (application of compost and organic fertilizers) with charges determined by the size of your garden.

5.   Lawn maintenance (mowing, seeding and organic fertilizing). We use mowers in compliance with EPA regulations.  We also offer hand powered mowing services. Even our engine oil is biodegradable!

      6.   Installation of rain barrels to reduce your consumption of tap water for gardening activities

7.   Planting of native plants to enhance the beauty of your garden and create a habitat for birds and butterflies

8.  Creation and maintenance of  organic vegetable gardens and maintenance of indoor plants, including repotting and fertilizing.

9.  Environmentally safe plant disease and pest control services for your garden

10. Organic Container Gardening - Flowers & Vegetables

How We Work:

We will have an initial meeting with you to discuss your requirements. You need to think about your likes and dislikes and what you want from your garden plus any budget you may have in mind.

Next we will carry out a survey. We will measure your garden and note any important features both good and bad about your yard and the surrounding area. When we start to design the work plan for your garden we always take an holistic approach. We start from the soil up - establishing your soil type and its drainage characteristics.  Next, we look at your own individual microclimate. This includes the temperature range, the amount of rainfall and any prevailing winds.  We base each new planting of garden design around our unique eco-audit which minimizes any harmful effects on the environment. We will suggest eco-friendly features as appropriate such as green energy systems. Finally, we choose plants and features which will help to attract wildlife and naturally tolerate your set of climatic conditions. Your garden will be unique to you - we promise!
